Copyrights and Payments

Copyright Notice: The photographer retains ownership and all copyrights in the photographs. Some packages include rights to use the photographs for business purposes.

Client Payment: All portrait sessions require a non-refundable 50% deposit at the time the session is booked in order to hold the date. The remaining 50% balance is due at the beginning of the portrait session.

We accept cash, checks payable to Walter Rowe Photography, or electronic payments and credit cards via PayPal. Payment in full is required prior to or at the start of your photo session. Payments for prints and other products are due prior to or at delivery.

All orders delivered by postal service will have shipping and handling charges added.

Maryland residents must include 6% sales tax on all products purchased.

Packages and Prices

Individual High School Senior Portrait Session - $350: A one-hour portrait session, including multiple looks. Can be at your location, or other indoor or outdoor location. Client is responsible for all location permits and fees. The session fee includes photography, retouching, and 10 high resolution digital images. Print packages are available at the prices listed below. BONUS - Include a friend for an additional $100.

Two-Season High School Senior Portrait Session - $500: Two one-hour portrait sessions in different seasons, including multiple looks. Can be at your location, or other indoor or outdoor location. Client is responsible for all location permits and fees. The session fee includes photography, retouching, and 20 high resolution digital images. Print packages are available at the prices listed below. BONUS - Include a friend for an additional $100.

High School Prom Portrait Session - $350 (one couple) / $450 (group): A one-hour portrait session, including multiple looks at your location, or other indoor or outdoor location. Client is responsible for all location permits and fees. The session fee includes photography, retouching, and high resolution digital images of every couple. Print packages are available at the prices listed below. BONUS - Include your friends as a group for an additional $100.

Family Portrait Session - $450: A one-hour portrait session at your location, or other indoor or outdoor location. Client is responsible for all location permits and fees. The session fee includes photography, retouching, and 15 high resolution digital images. Print packages are available at the prices listed below.

Business Headshots / Portraits - $350: A one-hour portrait session at your location, or other indoor or outdoor location. Client is responsible for all location permits and fees. The session fee includes photography, retouching, 5 high resolution digital images, and rights for commercial use. Print packages are available at the prices listed below.

Business Team Portrait Session - $350 + $150 per person: A portrait session that includes a team photograph and a portrait of each individual team member. The session is conducted at your place of business or other agreed upon location. Client is responsible for all location permits and fees. Travel related expenses also may be incurred depending of location. The session fee includes photography, retouching, 2 high resolution digital images of the team and/or each team member, and rights for commercial corporate collateral use. Prints are available at the prices listed below.

Portrait Retouching: Basic retouching is provided on all pictures. Those requiring significant retouching will be assessed a fee of $50 per image. Retouching fees will be agreed to in writing and added to the balance remaining prior to any retouching by the photographer.

Event Photography

Event Photography Rate - $350 per hour: Event photography is provided under written contract at an hourly rate of $350 per hour. Transportation, meals and other expenses will be itemized in the contract and paid by the client. The photographer will arrive sufficiently earlier than the contracted start time to ensure a successful event, and leaves at the contracted end time.

All event photography requires a written contract, 50% deposit at the time of booking, and payment of the balance upon arrival before the event begins. Finished photographs will be available for digital download within two weeks after the event. All copyrights and ownership of the photographs remain with the photographer. Contract terms will include a license fee for the negotiated usage rights granted under the terms of the contract.

Licensing

Right to Use license fees for photographs are separate from the session fee unless explicitly included in a package. License fees are determined by the rights granted including the placement, size, area and mediums of distribution, and duration of the license. All usage licenses are rights-managed.

No royalty free licensing, and no work made for hire contracts. The photographer retains all copyrights and authorship to the photographs. Digital copies of licensed images will be provided only after receipt of a signed license agreement and full payment from the client.

Digitals and Prints

Digital Copies: Non-commercial packages may include digital copies. For packages that do not include digital copies clients may purchase digital copies of up to 20 selected images from their session for $200. Digital copies are for personal use only. Digital copies may not be used for any commercial purpose (ie. brochures, business cards, business websites, business profiles, branding, etc). Commercial use requires a separate written license agreement with explicit terms and duration of use rights. See the Licensing section above.

Photographic Prints: Prints are purchased separately from the session fee and prices are based on the table below. Full payment is required at the time the order is placed.

Most of the images in my portfolio may be purchased as professional photographic prints in a choice of sizes. I make all the prints myself using a professional photographic printer, archival quality inks, and professional photographic paper. I guarantee that the print you receive will last for decades without fading when properly stored or displayed under museum UV protective glass out of direct sunlight.

Photographic print prices are based on a sliding scale. This provides you with a better price per print when you purchase individual images in larger quantities of the same size. Quantity discount prices apply only to printing multiple copies of the same image at the same size. Separate images at the same size, and different sizes of the same image, do not qualify for volume discount pricing. Please understand that each different size or image requires the same level of added effort, therefore I must charge separately for each.

Note that image and paper sizes are given in inches. Where the paper size is larger than the image size, the image will be centered on the paper and surrounded by a white border. Where the paper and image sizes match, this reflects a borderless print where the image covers the entire face of the paper and there is no border.
